Soladeck Penetration Box
Rooftop junction boxes are a critical part of any solar installation. There is a lot of voltage in these systems and if the junction box cracks, is damaged, or is otherwise compromised things can get bad quickly.
Unlike other solar installers, we only use SolaDeck. This junction box incorporates a unique flashing that is a seamless part of the enclosure and prevents incorrect penetration of the roof. Not only is it leakproof, it’s backed by a lifetime warranty.
All Wiring Located In Attic
Typical solar installations, the system wires are wrapped in conduit and are left on the roof. This is problematic for several reasons but mainly because if any wires become exposed, it could start a fire. Birds, squirrels, and pests have been known to nest in and around solar panels, especially in the winter which can cause damage to the system but also the wires and conduit.
Instead of leaving the wires exposed, we route all wires through the attic. Not only does this offer a higher level of protection for the system itself, it also requires less maintenance.
