After experiencing several rounds of rate hikes from their utility company, this homeowner reached out to Raze Solar for a home energy quote and to learn more about solar panel installation in St. Augustine.
Their electric bill prior to adding solar panels was $205 per month. This was the highest it had ever been. This homeowner did not have an electric vehicle or add any other appliance to increase energy consumption.

IronRidge XR100 Black Rails
While there are many solar mounting systems available for residential use, we only use IronRidge products. The XR100 mounting rails are anodized in black to protect against corrosion and offer superior protection in wind speeds up to 160 MPH. This system can be installed with fewer roof penetrations which reduces the chance of future roof leaks. Finally, the patented design protects against buckling and safely and efficiently transfers loads into the building structure.

Over the years, we’ve tested several products to reduce the chance of roof leaks and settled on the FlashFoot2® system. The unique water seal design is both elevated and encapsulated, delivering redundant layers of protection against water intrusion.
Soladeck Penetration Box
Rooftop junction boxes are a critical part of any solar installation. There is a lot of voltage in these systems, and if the junction box cracks, is damaged, or is otherwise compromised, things can get bad quickly.
Unlike other solar installers, we only use SolaDeck. This junction box incorporates a unique flashing that is a seamless part of the enclosure and prevents incorrect penetration of the roof. Not only is it leakproof, but it’s also backed by a lifetime warranty.
All Wiring Located In Attic
In typical solar installations, the system wires are wrapped in conduit and are left on the roof. This is problematic for several reasons, but mainly because if any wires become exposed, it could start a fire. Birds, squirrels, and pests have been known to nest in and around solar panels, especially in the winter, which can cause damage to the system but also the wires and conduit.
Instead of leaving the wires exposed, we route all wires through the attic. Not only does this offer a higher level of protection for the system itself, but it also requires less maintenance.
